On Friday, I went to First Friday in Oakland to look for galleries and found these interesting sculptures.
On Saturday, I woke up early and had brunch before heading to Alamere falls.
I recently saw this "Everything but the Bagel" seasoning and I had to get it. It was pretty good!!
I also had some nectarines - My favorite ones are from the farmer's market.
On the hike to Alamere falls, there were a lot of beautiful flowers. Some bright California poppies:
A carved tree:
There were several, beautiful lakes on the way to the falls. Here's one of them:
An interesting succulent flowering:
Pink and yellow wildflowers overlooking the Coast:
Some of the wildflowers up close:
This was my first time shooting at a waterfall, so I tried a few different things. In this shot, I wanted to try a long exposure distance shot of the waterfall. I had the settings on shutter priority 1/13 - f3.5 - ISO Auto. In the future, I want to try using a longer exposure. I heard from others that 1-6 seconds is best to achieve the fluffy, flowing texture.
Here is another angle of the falls, same settings:
This time I tried using sports action from the side of the waterfall:
My shoes got so dusty from the hike!!
More flowers on the Palomarin Trailhead to Alamere Falls:
On Sunday, I mostly relaxed and recovered from the previous day. I went shopping for a bit near Union Square then walked towards the Metreon where I saw these flowers at the Yerba Buena Gardens:
After Yerba Buena Garden, I went to dinner at Louie's Bar in San Francisco. To drink, I tried the electric lady which was an interesting combination of vodka, fernet, strawberry, radish, lemon, cream soda, and fresh black pepper.
I got the avocado salad which was absolutely delicious!! & the burrata crostini was also very good.
Thanks for checking out my weekend adventure! :)
